Flexible Polythene Packaging – Case Study
One of our customers includes a producer of flexible polythene packaging. The business had bulk loads of this waste and was looking for a sustainable way to dispose of the materials. Specifically, they had baled postal bags to recycle.
How We Helped
We offered the customer strong rebates for the bulk loads of packaging waste. As the waste is contaminated with a paper barcode, glue, and release liner, it was important they had a specialist team such as ourselves dealing with the waste.

The Collection & Recycling Process
So far in two collections this year, we have recycled over 40,000kg of waste. Once our team has collected the waste, the materials are sent to licensed recycling facilities. Here, they can be repurposed into new products to re-enter the market.
Recycling Reports & Documentation
A full report including the total recorded weights is given out to the customer following the completion of collections. This provides our customers with both legal documentation, and data to understand the full collection and recycling process we have provided.
Environmental & Cost Benefits
By working with Plastic Expert the customer was able to earn great rebates for their recyclable materials. They also saved vast amounts of waste from being sent to landfill sites. This means they could increase recycling rates whilst earning money.
